UK case studies

Ambitious action on the environment does not conflict with conservative economic priorities, but enhances them. Achieving net zero, tackling air pollution, and restoring nature will help to cut the cost of living, spur economic growth, and enhance food and energy security.

But we will not achieve these goals without local and regional authorities. As the bridge between communities and national government, local and regional authorities will be leading our efforts to insulate our homes to lower bills; creating reliable, affordable, and accessible transport options and putting nature into recovery.

While many local and regional governments have been making strides, there is still much to be done. The Conservative Environment Network has compiled a series of case studies to highlight where and how tangible progress has been made by conservatives across the country to share  pragmatic and creative environmental policy.
