  • Location: The Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea

  • Purpose: The scheme offers free support to local residents on how to improve the warmth in their homes. Cold homes can cause health issues for vulnerable residents. The scheme seeks to address fuel poverty by providing bespoke advice to help with energy efficiency and energy saving measures. 

  • Description: The council has partnered with Groundwork to deliver the scheme. Residents book a telephone appointment with a ‘Green Doctor’ energy advisors or house visit via the Green Doctors website. They provide a consultation and offer advice on energy bills and what financial support residents are entitled to. Green Doctors may also give out Free Seasonal Stay Warm Pack which includes a blanket, socks, gloves and more to help residents.

  • Funding: The funding for Homes4Health comes from the National Grid’s £150 million Warm Homes Fund.

  • Conservative councillor/ council lead: Cllr Johnny Thalassites, Cabinet Member for Finance, Customer Services & Net Zero Council.
