Our climate programme follows a conservative, science-led approach that empowers individuals, communities and businesses.
Embracing clean technologies, efficiency and innovation will make the UK more productive and competitive, and we should capture the opportunities they present to boost exports and drive economic growth, while keeping costs down for consumers.
We believe that man-made climate change threatens our prosperity and that the UK should end its contribution to climate change by mid-century through affordable, fair, and market-based policies.
Our climate programme is working on campaigns to incentivise households to improve their energy efficiency, make it easier to build more renewable and nuclear capacity, boost competition on the railways, and attract more private investment into green industries and reskilling.
We coordinate environmental action within the conservative movement and mobilise conservatives to achieve positive environmental policy change. We do this by developing and championing policy campaigns in Parliament and across the UK. Some of our recent climate campaigns can be found below.
We raise awareness of environmental issues and their electoral importance among conservatives, as well as promoting conservative voices within the environmental policy debate. We do this by regularly producing blogs, as well as landing stories and opinion pieces in the media. Read our latest climate-related media hits below.
We organise public and private events that enable conservatives to debate environmental issues in a trusted setting and find common ground. Photos and recordings from previous events delivered by our climate programme can be viewed below.
