OUR OUTREACH PROGRAMME

ABOUT

Like the founder of modern conservatism Edmund Burke, we believe we have a duty to protect our natural inheritance for future generations. Our outreach programme brings together grassroots conservatives who believe in this core conservative principle, to debate environmental issues, find consensus, and promote market-based solutions.

Our grassroots members advocate for positive national and international environmental action underpinned by conservative values. They also showcase the role that local, bottom-up environmental action can play to enhance the places we call home and restore pride in our communities. Explore this page to find out more about the work of our outreach programme.

EVENTS

We organise events that enable grassroots conservatives to debate environmental issues, and find common ground. Photos  from previous events delivered by our outreach programme can be viewed below. View our upcoming events here.

LATEST MEDIA AND OPINION

We provide a platform to promote grassroots conservative voices within political and environmental policy debates. We do this by publishing regular blogs, as well as landing stories and opinion pieces in the media. Read the latest media hits from our supporters and councillors.

CAMPAIGNS

We coordinate environmental action within the conservative movement and mobilise our networks to achieve positive environmental policy change. Some of our recent campaigns can be found below.

TRANSPARENT. RESPECT BREXIT, PROTECT PUFFINS.png

In May 2025, the UK won a court battle to ban sand eel fishing in the North Sea to protect British puffins. This victory is proof that Brexit can deliver for British wildlife.

PEAT_LOGO.png

In 2024, we raised awareness of the importance of British peatlands and the role that the horticultural industry plays in their destruction. Our supporters and councillors signed a letter to encourage the government to preserve our precious peatlands.

PROTECT GREAT BRITISH PENGUINS.png

In 2023, we successfully campaigned with the help of our supporters and councillors to increase full protections within the marine protected area around South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands, a UK Overseas Territory, by an additional 166,000km².

PUBLICATIONS

While we do not undertake original policy research ourselves, we produce publications that promote environmental issues and solutions within the conservative tradition. Some of our recent publications are available to read below.
