A blueprint to protect biodiversity

The Conservative Environment Network, a group of more than 100 Tory MPs, has proposed creating a new class of designation known as wildbelt. The idea, tabled as an amendment to the levelling-up bill by the Conservative MP David Simmonds, is designed to help heavily degraded land recover and to block damaging developments.
