Work experience
We’re delighted to launch our new virtual work experience programme for students and young professionals, who are over 18 and interested in gaining more exposure to politics and the environment. This opportunity is an exclusive perk of our Next Gen CEN programme, which you can sign up to for free here.
This voluntary programme will run over a fortnight. Participants will gain a unique insight into our work, gain skills for their CVs, and be part of a cohort of like-minded people.
The programme will develop participants’ knowledge of policy making and research, and how market-led solutions can tackle climate change and nature loss. It will also equip them with writing, communications and digital skills.
Our summer 2025 programme will run from Wednesday 16th July to Wednesday 30th July. We will be accepting applications on a rolling basis from across the UK so please apply here at your earliest convenience. Please be aware spaces on the programme are limited.
If you have a busy summer already, you can register your interest for our winter work experience programme here. We will be in touch with confirmed dates closer to the time but it will likely take place in early to mid December or early January.
The programme includes meetings and one-to-ones; workshops; and independent work although there should be the flexibility to deliver your projects around existing commitments. Please send any questions to our Head of Outreach Isabel at isabel@cen.uk.com.
