  • Location: Westminster, London (previous Conservative administration)

  • Purpose: The fund aimed to improve air quality around primary and secondary schools.

  • Description: Schools undertook an air quality audit, which generated recommendations. A £1 million fund was available to support the implementation of measures to tackle pollution. Local authority schools, free schools and academies could apply for up to £10,000 each, and private schools could apply for up to £5,000. This money was spent on building and premises improvements, highway improvements outside schools and green infrastructure. A full programme report was published in 2021.
