GREEN TORIES RESPOND TO REFORM'S "RECKLESS" ANTI-CLEAN ENERGY CAMPAIGN

Responding to the launch of Reform’s ‘UK against renewable eyesores’, the Conservative Environment Network’s Director Sam Hall said: 

“If Reform’s reckless plan for energy ever makes contact with reality, it will cost taxpayers billions of pounds, damage our energy security, and be detrimental to economic growth. 

“We need to build more clean power and upgrade our energy grid to meet the growing needs of the digital age and drive our economy forward. All new infrastructure is disruptive and residents deserve to be meaningfully consulted and directly compensated for hosting it.

“But at a time of energy insecurity and economic stagnation, we must get Britain building to avoid decline. Reform is wrong to be standing in the way of bill discounts for residents, private investment, and homegrown British energy.”
