Former COP26 President Alok Sharma confirms he will not seek re-election

Writing on X, Sam Hall, director of the Conservative Environment Network, said: "I'm sorry to see Alok decide to stand down at the next election. He has been a brilliant conservative champion for climate action, particularly as COP26 President. His voice on climate issues will be missed in the House of Commons."
