[8th May 2025] The Conservative Environment Network is happy to announce the appointment of three new Non-Executive Directors to our Board and three new members of our Advisory Council.
As we enter a new era of intense political debate over the environment and the future of conservatism, CEN is strengthening its Board and Advisory Council to ensure we have an even broader set of skillsets and perspectives to help guide us as we champion a market-led, conservative approach to the environment.
Joining CEN’s Board of Directors is Conservative Peer Lord Gascoigne, Director of Public Affairs at Water UK Mark Holmes, and Associate Director for Climate Policy and Engagement at Fidelity Sophie Brodie.
Additionally, joining CEN’s Advisory Council are Visiting Postdoctoral Professor at the University of Buckingham Dr Daniel Pitt, Hoffmann Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Exeter Dr Helen Millman, and Associate Director at the CT Group Myles Bailey.
Benet Northcote, Chair of CEN’s Board, welcomed the new additions to both the Board and Advisory Council:
“I am thrilled to welcome Ben, Sophie, and Mark to CEN’s Board and Daniel, Helen, and Myles to our Advisory Council. We are extremely grateful they have volunteered their time and significant expertise to bolster our organisation at this critical juncture for conservative environmentalism.
“With these new additions, CEN is in a strong position to build on its long history of championing conservative environmentalism and to develop a conservative roadmap for a more secure, prosperous, and affordable Britain through nature recovery and decarbonisation.”
