About the event

Climate change will increasingly become an exacerbating factor in migration as droughts, flooding, and heat waves become more frequent and intense, and sea levels rise, claiming once habitable land. Over 3 billion people live in areas vulnerable to climate change, and many small and island Commonwealth countries are most at risk. The challenge poses two questions for our country. Are we doing enough to end our contribution to climate change and support vulnerable developing countries to adapt? How should the UK and other developed nations respond to climate migration and how can we support climate migrants?

Our panellists include Anatol Lieven, author of Climate Change and the Nation State, and Jack Richardson, Head of Climate and Energy at Onward and James Blyth associate fellow at the Council on Geostrategy.

This event is exclusively for our supporter and councillor networks. If you haven't yet signed up, join our supporter network here and our councillor network here.
