Vote blue, go green?
Join us for this exclusive event for our supporter and councillor networks to discuss how the Conservatives can lead on environmental issues, with CEN MP Selaine Saxby and James Blagden, Head of Politics and Polling at Onward.
Time & Location
20 Mar 2023, 18:00 – 18:45
About the event
In 2005, David Cameron encouraged voters to "vote blue, go green" as part of his modernisation of the Conservative Party, and his first administration promised to be the "greenest government ever". Since 2010, the Conservative Party has made significant progress but has made missteps on insulation, nature protection, and fracking.
With Green Party and Liberal Democrat Party candidates challenging Conservatives locally and the Labour Party attempting to own the environmental issues, how do the Conservatives respond and can they ever win the environmental debate?
