About the event
In the UK and across the world people are witnessing more frequent and intense droughts, flooding, and heat waves. Just this year the UK experienced the hottest June on record. The case has never been stronger for ambitious international action to tackle global warming.
Despite 90% of global GDP now being covered by net zero targets, annual UN climate summits have failed to get firm commitments from countries to take the action required to limit global warming to 1.5 degrees. From the end of November to mid-December this year’s summit, COP28, will be held in Dubai and world leaders will gather to discuss the action countries should take to reduce emissions.

Panellists will include Katherine Fletcher MP and Lene Westgaard-Halle, Member of the Norwegian Parliament.
