About the event

Since Andy Street became Mayor in 2017, the West Midlands has led the way on the environment and successfully engaged with local people to ensure that policies deliver on their priorities.

Through a strong and constructive relationship with the government, the private sector, and the local community, Andy's leadership has overseen the delivery of innovative schemes to make local homes more energy efficient, secure funding to upgrade the public transport network, create and conserve biodiverse spaces to put nature into recovery, and build the Starley Network so local people can get around by bike conveniently and safely. This impressive record has been achieved all whilst keeping the West Midlands' mayoral tax at £0.
